Welcome to Adfam Papillons
Owned by Steve and Renea Adams, our kennel has been breeding and showing papillons since 1996. Our dogs are bred for temperament, health, beauty and athleticism. We breed on a very limited basis for show dogs, then performance, and occasionally have pets available. All our papillons are AKC registered and come from champion lines. Pedigrees are visible by clicking on their pictures in the "Gentlemen, Ladies and Puppies" photo galleries.
We take great enjoyment in showing our own dogs in AKC Confirmation Shows. It's not just the winning, but a great love of our breed that keeps us involved as breeders and exhibitors.
Great companion dogs, papillons are affectionate, friendly and playful. They are an absolute joy to own and love. These dogs are highly intelligent and excel as obedience, agility and therapy dogs.
Our pups are "hand raised" with great care. We do a great deal of early socialization so they grow up to be loving, well-adjusted pets. All our papillons are raised as a part of our family! They are not kennel dogs, but are comfortable sleeping in their crates. We keep our puppies until at least 12 weeks of age, and often keep them until 6 months old. As breeders, we are looking for show quality dogs first and until pups are a little older, we cannot determine which will be the best for showing. Another priority is to look for performance dogs to compete in agility and obedience competitions. We have developed a reputation in the agility world for fast dogs with great temperaments.
We have purchase contracts on all our dogs, including pets. The waiting list is long for females; but males are just as affectionate in this breed. We sometimes have adult dogs available that we no longer use for breeding. We DO NOT SHIP our papillons as we want to place the right dog with the right home.
